DT Solution Wins Samsung Heavy Industries High-Tech Division System Project
In October 2022, DT Solution won a project to build schedule-management and cost-breakdown management systems for the High-Tech business division of Samsung Heavy Industries.
Why it was needed
The High-Tech division of Samsung Heavy Industries runs many large-structure and plant-class projects in parallel, with schedule data and contract/cost-breakdown information scattered across different tools and templates. When schedule and cost are managed separately, progress easily drifts from actual spend and earned value, and changes are hard to reflect consistently across both. The division needed a system to place schedule and cost breakdown on a single management baseline and control them in an integrated way.
How it was adopted
DT Solution systematized the division's schedule- and cost-management processes on Oracle Primavera Unifier. We assessed the existing workflow and coding scheme, redesigned them onto Unifier's business process (BP) and cost-management structures, and validated the build against real data.
